Facebook has become an important fixture in our everyday life. A day is not complete without a browse through the Facebook feed. People are addicted to this social media giant, knowingly or unknowingly. Facebook has established itself as an all-around social media platform with new features being added to its ever-growing popularity.
Nevertheless, Facebook has created a new set of personality traits that are limited within the virtual world. These people are present on every one of our friend’s list. You only need to put those friends in perspective of this list and you will realize it all too simple.
1. The Rooster
Feels that it is their job to tell Facebook “Good Morning” every day. The good night commentators are also included in this category. They have to post these type of posts every day otherwise they go restless.
2. The Lurker
Never posts or comments on your post, but reads everything, and might make reference to your status if they see you in public. They are a living diary of all of their friends. They can recall random events that happened to surface on their friends’ status.
3. The Hyena
Doesn’t ever really say anything, just LOLs and LMAOs are everything. They are omnipresent but does not make a full sentence post in any of their comments.
4. Mr./Ms. Popular
Has 4,873 friends for no reason. They are popular because they are popular. No particular reason can explain their popularity and not forget another 287 are waiting for approval on their friend’s list.
5. The Gamer
Plays Words with Friends, Mafia Wars, Bake virtual cakes, and stuff, etc. all day long. They are not video game addicts but gets on the groove whenever they log into their Facebook. Playing games is the feature they love about Facebook, it is a video game rather than a networking site.
6. The Cynic
Hates their life, and everything in it, as evident by the sober tone in all of their status updates. You can easily identify their posts without looking at their names because every post you have seen until the date of theirs is similar.
7. The Collector
Never posts anything either, but joins every group and becomes fans of the most random stuff. They may not necessarily be active on all groups but they take pride in being part of the group. Almost half of the time they are unaware of the group’s objectives.
8. The Promoter
Always sends event invitations to the thing that you ultimately delete or ignore. They feel that you share similar interest and will be waiting for their invites on the events they are promoting. They may or may not be directly related to the events but will make sure you get the invitation.
9. The Liker
Never actually says anything, but always clicks the “Like” button. They do not want to type or it seems they don’t have keyboard installed, they browse through Facebook with only their mouse.
10. Drama Queen/King
This person always posts stuff like “I can’t believe this!”, or “they going to make me snap today!”, in the hopes that you will ask what happened, or what’s wrong, but then they never finish telling the story. Almost all the time they put up such status, nothing is serious.
11. The News
Always updates you on what they are doing and who they are doing it with, no matter how arbitrary. They would like the whole world to know what they are up to. They don’t think once that others may not be at all interested in their doings.
12. The Theif
Steals status updates and wall posts. Scours the entire Facebook and shortlists status that they will put on their own status. They even do not have time for editing the status. They simply copy and paste it.
13. THE STALKER
This person will spend most of the time on Facebook looking at other people’s profiles, often browsing photos, walls, groups, or recent activity posted on their friend’s mini-feed. They are similar to the lurker, but they are more intense and attached to their work.
