She has been a plum all her life, and constant criticism from the elderly for being overweight never made her lose confidence in carrying herself in such a pretty way. Now she has become a popular model and is also an inspiration for plus-sized ladies.
The Asian beauty began her career in modeling after participating in Miss India Europe in 2014. She says, “I was the only plus-size woman and became the second runner-up. It was an amazing achievement, especially because I was the only plus-size woman representing an issue that requires further highlighting.”
She has been the face of many campaigns in almost all the stores in the Middle East: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. She hates compliments much and loves the way she is. Today, she is working harder to spread her vibes worldwide and is working on her label collection, where people like her can shop and get classy.
Bishamber is proud of her title as a “Plus-Sized Model.” As she says, “This whole journey taught me a valuable lesson which I wanted to share with every woman, and what a better way to do this through a beauty pageant.” I saw an advert for Miss India Europe and decided I would challenge society’s perceptions regarding plus-size women, especially in the Asian community.”
