Cops arrested her on suspicion of inciting young people to disobedience and immorality. They became aware of her sexy antics after a party goer filmed her wiggling her hips and at one point shaking her bust to whoops from the crowd.

Some social media commentators suggested that she had not been wearing any underwear under her sparkly white backless dress which had a split up one side.

Egyptian prosecutor Hatim Fadl said: “Rules for the dance performance oblige the performer to wear underwear of any color but beige.

Gawhara has been released on bail of 5,000 EGP (£204), but the next legal step has not been made clear.

Local media report that the General Directorate of the Police of Tourism and Antiquities held that Ms. Andreeva was wearing a non-standard outfit to dance in and that she had “flaunted” her body.
