Nita Ambani, chairperson and founder of Reliance Foundation, was recently spotted in Bengaluru. The 60-year-old businesswoman from Mumbai was spotted in Bengaluru visiting the renowned 600-year-old establishment, ‘House of Angadi,’ known for textiles, especially handloom sarees. Nita Ambani is also the wife of India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani (Forbes, October 2024). She went to the boutique in her lavish Rs 10 crore Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard.
In the viral clip, Nita Ambani can seen waving at the crowd and folding her hands before entering her bulletproof Mercedes Benz. The lavish car blocked the streets, causing commotion and inducing stress to the commuters in the area. The billionaire’s bodyguards and security personnel roamed to secure the area.
In the clip, a displeased woman stands near the front right side of the car arguing with one of Ambani’s security personnel. Though the conversation cannot be heard clearly, the body language shows that she was pissed by the commotion caused by the car blocking the road for her shopping spree.
The woman’s bold move against an armed bodyguard during a road blockage earned her the respect of netizens, who are celebrating her as an unexpected hero. Her fearless response won the hearts of the netizens, and it was seen as a moment of “real-world karma.”
The store Nita Ambani was leaving after her shopping spree is located in South Bengaluru and spans 18,000 square feet. This luxury store is led by K. Radharaman, the descendant of a 600-year-old family legacy. The store is renowned for its exquisite Kanjivaram silk sarees, bridal attire, and the fusion of traditional weaves with modern designs. Deepika Padukone also chose the boutique to get a saree for her stunning Mangalorean wedding ceremony in Italy in 2018. Reportedly, Deepika’s saree took 45 days to complete.
