Recently, a video of a social media content creator surfaced on the internet, and she was seen hosting a makeup tutorial. While, the visuals show the entire process of glamorous makeup, the audio in the background is about the horrific incident of a female doctor’s brutal rape and murder.
In the video, the girl is seen in a white gown posing in front of the camera. The background audio starts with, “Get ready with me as I speak to you all about a friend of mine who went to college, completed her MBBS, and is actually ‘was’ doing her Master’.
As the audio continues, she shows how to apply makeup products to her face.
Next, the audio in the background continues, “One evening, when she was just completing her studies and postings and was sleeping, she was raped and killed. On duty. Within the hospital premises. What do I tell her parents? How do they see her body? How do they face the society?”
As the girl continues her makeup process, the audio continues, “Because, of course, when a girl is raped, they are going to question now, what did the girl do wrong and not who was in and around her when this happened. These are the same doctors who strive and struggle to get one seat. Study so hard to be able to acquire their degree. These same parents sacrificed so many of their dreams to let their child go to medical college.”

Sarah Saroshh shared the video on Instagram on Wednesday. The reels went viral on social media and received much criticism. After being brutally trolled by netizens, the digital creator deleted the video and posted an apology note.

Further, she wrote that she didn’t realise how tone-deaf it would be for the audio and video not to sync and saw it as a way to make more people TALK about the important matters.
