Breastfeeding a baby is a natural and wonderful way to keep the baby healthy and develop a good bond with the newborn. However, breastfeeding in public is still a matter of serious concern in many countries.
While there are many reasons for it, denial of breastfeeding in public comes down to discomfort for the mothers and is viewed as ‘indecent’ in public. However, there is one country where women can breastfeed in public parks.
Yes, you read that right. In Poznan, Poland, women can freely breastfeed their children in the park without the risk of being abused by anyone or being watched indecently.
An X user shared, “In Poznan, Poland, women do not wear hijab or burqa, and they freely breastfeed their children in the park without risking being abused by the usual suspects. This is Europe we recognize ourselves in. We need more of this.”
Her post has now gone viral with millions of views and likes and sparked a debate on the acceptance of breastfeeding as per the comfort of the mothers.
“Wonderful to see healthy babies in a safer country than many due to good strict immigration policies. Blessings Poland !” a user shared.
Another user wrote, “Poland is the Fortress of Europe. I hope they never change their ways. It’s a place where women and children are valued, respected, and nurtured.”
“But of course. The mothers and their babies are the nation’s top priority and treasure. Nobody should shame them or make them feel unsafe,” shared a third user.
